5 Places to Visit in Washington D.C.

Hey guys!

I love so many things about Washington D.C., but I'm going to mention just a few places that I really enjoy visiting.

My Favorite Places in D.C. 1. The monuments: What will D.C. be without the late night walks from the Abraham Lincoln statue where you can gaze on the 19 feet tall statue of the 16th president of the United States and read his famous speech ingrained in huge font then stroll along the sides of the long reflecting pool, admire the World War II memorial and stroll down to the Washington monument. 2. M Street Georgetown: Day or night, this long stretch of fancy stores decorated with lovely flowers and lights is always bustling with people who are either touring, grabbing a meal at a nice restaurant like Flavio, or getting sweet treats from the famous Georgetown Cupcakes store. I could spend hours just walking past the stores and admiring the detailed decor on the buildings. It truly is a wonderful experience and one that has hosted some of my deepest conversations with my friends. 3. City Center D.C.: Taking strolls past the stores and restaurants in this high-end shopping center on 10th st is breathtaking. The coffee might be overpriced, but it's definitely worth the experience. 4. Georgetown Waterfront: On a cool spring afternoon, this beautiful view of the Potomac River and Arlington, Virginia is definitely the place to be. You can get beautiful sun kissed pictures by the river or watch pigeons hover around for food crumbs. 5. The Basilica of the National Shrine of Immaculate Conception: This huge Basilica is definitely a site to see! The first time I visited the Basilica was with my family and we did a tour of the entire building. I learned so much more about the Catholic faith and I was in awe of the painstaking architecture and interior design that was put into building this astounding structure.  If you ever drop by D.C., make sure you visit these places and let me know how much fun you had! In another blog post, I'll share my favorite restaurants in DC.
