After performing on stages across the United Kingdom, Canada, Nigeria and playing alongside some of the biggest names in the afrobeats industry, DJ Emeezy is ready to take his unrivaled talent across borders on his first world tour. As a follow-up to his Eargasm mix, which was inspired by his experience with diverse cultures and artists, the Canadian-based Nigerian star will kick-start his premier tour on November 11 in the city of Ottawa. He’s slated to stir up crowds at headline shows in Edmonton and Winnipeg before setting out to other countries. Performing on big stages across different cities is nothing novel to him.
As BNXN’s -formerly known as Buju- official DJ, Emeezy played alongside the “Finesse” artist for the “Sorry I'm Late” tour during the summer of 2021. While gearing the crowd up for BNXN at multiple sold-out shows including headlines at the Lafayette in London and the Federal Palace Balmoral hall in Lagos, DJ Emeezy played for household names in the industry including WizKid, Burna Boy, Omah Lay and others. He looks forward to extending his talent across more countries and working with other artists on this tour.
In line with DJ Emeezy’s goals to expand his reach globally and “make sure a lot of people get the chance to hear me first hand,” he is set to rave audiences in Amsterdam before performing at BNXN’s headline show at the O2 in London. His global reach on the Eargasm tour will extend to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Lagos before rounding up in the United States.
Although already acclimatized to playing for a range of audiences, DJ Emeezy anticipates the exhilarating challenge of catering to people from different cultures on this tour. He looks forward to interacting with a variety of personalities and getting feedback from his audience. “I’m most excited about meeting new people, especially after the shows, and then listening to how they feel about what I did on stage.”
Beyond expanding his brand, he wants new audiences to experience his talent and appreciate the art of disk jockeying, especially for Africans. DJ Emeezy wants his audience to show up for the Eargasm tour ready to have a good time. According to the international DJ, the tour promises to be enthralling and gratifying as he brings “eargasms to a city near you” with an infusion of afrobeats, hip-hop, soca, dancehall and amapiano in every show.
