Fitness Apps For You!

Hellooo!

I know it's been a while, but I'm back and here to stay! I’m going to shpill some of my go-to fitness apps that I used through the course of my weight loss journey last year.  Keep in mind that these apps are completely free! A few of them might have premium options that you can subscribe to, but I didn’t subscribe to any.

1 LIFE  This app helps you track your intermittent fasting and shows you what's happening in your body at different points while fasting. It shows you the time your body switches to ketosis and then to heavy ketosis and so on.

LIFE allows you interact with people from all over the world who are also fasting. The "First Time Fasters" group really helped me get through rough days and reminded me that I was not alone.

Keep in mind that this app needs internet connection to work. I highly recommend this app for people who are new to intermittent fasting. After using it for a while, your body is likely to adjust and you’ll be able to count your fasting hours by yourself!

2. My Plate You’ve probably come across this app before and yes, it is amazing! This is my number 1 app for calorie counting and I still use it till date! It has a plethora of food items with their measurements and calories. It even has many of our African meals that you would hardly find online. With this app, you can put in your weight goal and it automatically helps you calculate how many calories you’ve eaten and how many more you can eat to achieve your daily goal.

This app also suggests healthy recipes to add some variety to your diet. Definitely give their recipes a try! My Plate also has a collection of different workouts you can do to burn some extra calories. With this app, you can create a meal plan, keep track of your progress on a chart, and discuss with other users in the community section.

3. My Fitness Pal My Fitness Pal does a whole lot! I mainly used it to check the calories of certain meals and keep track of my weight. This is one of the apps with a Premium option that I didn’t subscribe to, but it’s still effective, and I certainly recommend it for calorie counters!

4 Track Track is mainly to record the calories for each meal you consume. I use it to plan my meals for the following day and to create a meal timetable so my indecisiveness does not overpower me when it’s lunch time. It’s a great app for highly organized calorie counters!

5 Fitbit  This could’ve easily come as number one, but I tucked it down here because it’s really only useful if you have a Fitbit. This app is the complete package! Besides automatically syncing to your Fitbit and keeping track of all your physical activity, it helps monitor your food and water intake, count your calories, track your weekly exercise, and so much more. The Fitbit app keeps track of your weight goal and displays your progress on a chart. I could go on and on because the list is endless. But to say the least, if you don't have any other app, then this is really all you need!

Try these apps out and let me know how they worked for you! And if you know any other awesome fitness apps, kindly share them in the comments!

I promise not to disappear for too long again.

Thanks for sharing Seun! I love that app, and yup, a Fitbit is definitely worth the purchase!

Yeah, I have Fitbit and it's so convenient so I bought a Fitbit watch. I track calories, steps, exercise, and my menstrual cycle. You can also track your routes if you run.
